Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need, hold it only as long as it is useful, and do not sell it to anyone. This policy explains what personal information BiyeLada gathers, why we gather it, and how it is protected.

The Information We Collect

When you contact us by telephone or through the website enquiry process, we collect the name, postal address, telephone number, and any notes you choose to provide about your project. When you place an order, we additionally collect payment details sufficient to process the transaction — these are handled through our payment processor and are not stored in full on our own systems.

When you visit this website, our hosting infrastructure logs your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, and the pages you visit within the site. This data is collected automatically and is used only for security monitoring and aggregate traffic analysis. It is not linked to your name or contact details unless you have also made an enquiry.

How We Use Your Information

We use your contact details to respond to enquiries, prepare commission agreements, arrange delivery, and issue invoices and receipts. We do not use your information to send marketing messages unless you have explicitly asked to be kept informed about new batches or commission availability.

Provenance documentation — photographs and written records of the source structure — is attached to each piece rather than to each customer. Your name does not appear in provenance records unless you request it as part of a bespoke commission agreement.

We may use anonymised, aggregated information about how people use this website to improve its structure and content. No individual is identifiable in this analysis.

Who We Share Your Information With

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the third parties who are directly involved in fulfilling your order: our freight and logistics partners who handle delivery, and our payment processor. Each of these parties is bound by their own privacy and data security obligations.

If we are required by law — for example by a court order or a regulatory authority in India — to disclose personal information, we will do so. We will notify you where we are legally permitted to do so before complying.

How Long We Keep Your Information

Enquiry records that do not lead to an order are deleted within twelve months of the last communication. Order records — including invoices, commission agreements, and delivery documentation — are retained for seven years in accordance with Indian accounting and tax regulations. After that period they are securely destroyed.

Website access logs are retained for ninety days for security purposes and then deleted automatically.

Security of Your Information

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. Our website is served over an encrypted connection. Commission documents containing personal details are stored on access-controlled systems within the studio.

No transmission of data over the internet is completely secure. While we do our best to protect your information, we cannot guarantee the security of data you send to us electronically; you do so at your own risk.

Your Rights

You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to request a correction if it is inaccurate, and to ask us to delete it where we have no legal obligation to retain it. You may also object to our processing your information for marketing purposes at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the telephone number or postal address in the footer of this page.

Children's Privacy

This website is not directed at children under the age of eighteen. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may revise this privacy policy from time to time as our practices change or as applicable law requires. The current version is always published on this page. If we make a material change that affects how we use information already collected from you, we will attempt to notify you directly.
